Daniel McCagh - Altered States

[CD version] "Altered States" is the debut album from Melbourne musician / sound designer Daniel McCagh. McCagh seems to be bred from the "unresolved tension" musical school of thought that the likes of Frost, Hecker and Roly Porter have surely graduated. Altered States shimmers almost too brightly to be drone, knarls enough to not be called ambient but has enough melody to hold on to that experimental is not an apt descriptor.
