Trills is Jonathan Jindra of Houston, Texas. While previously appearing with esteemed netlabels such as Archaic Horizon and Retropublik, 'Modular Puzzle' marks Trills first foray into the physical format. A very diverse artist, Jindra is also an original signing with Ian Hawgood's forthcoming ambient/minimal 'Nomadic Kids Republic' imprint. Trills is no doubt poised to surface on a lot of radars in 2010. Indeed it was Mr. Hawgood who presented 'Modular Puzzle' to I, Absentee, a genre-twisting journey of acid techno, downtempo harmonies and everything in between. From the opening moments of the first track, 'Zurich', you know you're in for something special. 'Modular Puzzle' is truly a breakthrough album, from an artist quickly making a name for himself in many forms of electronic music.
