Alpha Aesar is the former musical escapades of Warren Kroll (Dorosoto) and Carl States (21 Jumpsuit). Formed in Canton, Ohio in the late 1990s, the material was the first serious attempts at music for both artists. Highly influenced by Canada's Suction Records (owned/operated by Solvent and Lowfish), demos of the material reached the label and were considered for release at one time. With no release date ever established, the material sat unreleased for the next decade. In 2008, I, Absentee recollected every song ever recorded by the duo. New remixes were commissioned from Suction's own Lowfish, Coppice Halifax (aka Milieu), both original Alpha members and others. It represents a complete retrospective of the duo's entire output and is a fitting close to the music's lengthy history.
